Did we learn in the last two years that “for your health and safety” is a bunch of BS?
Come on man. The more modern citizen never really had a mother, she had to work so you could have a $500 phone and $200 pair of sneakers! Consequently because of that lack you really don't know it's wise to wash up before eating. Hence we must have the nanny state.
And 55 reminds me of barreling down a empty two land in Nevada back then and seeing an approaching car. We sorta backed off from 90+ and watched a cruiser do a U-turn. We just backed off so he could catch up and get a warning ticket. He was sincere in his apology at needing to do that. While I can understand that on the East coast traffic can be awful, setting a national number was just silly stuff. The Feds were not supposed to have those kind of powers.
